1. Introduction & Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how Global Marketing Zone (“GMZ,” “we,” “us”) — a digital marketing services provider based in Hi Tech City, Hyderabad — collects, processes, stores, and protects your personal data. It applies to every interaction you have with us through our website (www.globalmarketingzone.in), our consultation forms, our email and phone channels, and any engagements we enter into with you.
This policy is published in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). It does not apply to third-party platforms we may help you operate (such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, or your own CMS) — those are governed by their respective terms.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identity & Contact Data — your name, email address, phone number, job title, and company name, submitted via our consultation form, audit tool, or email/calls.
- Project Data — information you share with us about your business, target audience, website, ad accounts, and marketing objectives, so we can deliver and improve our services.
- Usage Data — information collected automatically when you visit our website, including IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referral source, and timestamps, collected via cookies and analytics tools.
- Communication Data — records of your correspondence with us (emails, call notes, WhatsApp messages, form submissions), retained to provide service continuity and for legitimate record-keeping.
3. How We Collect Data
- Directly from you — when you fill out a form, request a consultation, subscribe to our newsletter, email or call us, or share access to your platforms for service delivery.
- Automatically — when you visit our website, through cookies, server logs, and analytics tools (Google Analytics 4). See our Cookie Policy for details.
- From third parties — limited to information you have authorized to be shared with us (e.g., Google/Meta ad account access you grant us for campaign management).
4. Why We Process Your Data
For each purpose below, we state the legal basis under the DPDP Act:
- To respond to your inquiries and consultations — Legal basis: consent (you submitted the form) and legitimate use (responding to a request you initiated).
- To deliver our services — Legal basis: contractual necessity (engagement agreement with you) and legitimate use.
- To send our newsletter and updates — Legal basis: consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- To improve our website and services — Legal basis: legitimate use (website analytics, aggregated and anonymized where possible).
- To meet legal, tax, and regulatory obligations — Legal basis: legal obligation (e.g., maintaining GST-compliant invoices, statutory records).
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse — Legal basis: legitimate use.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes set out above, and as required by law:
- Consultation requests and inquiries — 12 months from your last interaction, then deleted or anonymized.
- Newsletter subscribers — until you unsubscribe; unsubscribed records are deleted within 30 days.
- Active client engagement records — for the duration of the engagement + 7 years for legal/tax compliance.
- Website analytics — aggregated indefinitely; raw event data retained for 14 months (Google Analytics 4 default).
- Audit tool requests — 90 days for follow-up; raw URL/email data then deleted.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent or trade it. We share personal data only with processors who help us operate our business, under written contracts that require them to protect your data to a standard at least equivalent to ours:
- Hosting provider — for our website and forms (Vercel).
- Email service — for transactional and newsletter email (industry-standard ESPs).
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4, with Consent Mode v2 applied (see Cookie Policy).
- Google Workspace — for internal email, document storage, and collaboration with you.
We will disclose personal data to government or law enforcement agencies only where required by Indian law, and only to the extent necessary.
7. Data Transfer
Your personal data is primarily processed on servers located in India. However, some of our processors (e.g., Google, Vercel) may store or process data on servers outside India. Where this happens, we take reasonable safeguards — including contractual data protection clauses and reliance on processors with mature privacy programs — to ensure your data is protected to a standard consistent with the DPDP Act.
8. Your Rights Under the DPDP Act
Under the DPDP Act, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
